Continuing Your Civil Harassment Court Date

There are two ways you can continue your court date on your Civil Harassment case. If you have been unable to serve the respondent, you will need to obtain an “Application and Order for Reissuance of Order to Show Cause (Harassment),” Judicial Council form CH-125. You may obtain a copy of the form at any clerk’s office between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm or you can download the form from the Judicial Council’s web site. The form must be completed and filed along with a copy of your prior Application for Civil Harassment Restraining Order attached to the form, prior to the date of your scheduled hearing. You may also orally request a continuance in court during your hearing. If you request for continuance is granted, the Judge will sign the Application and Order for Reissuance form for you to obtain a new hearing date. Both methods of continuing the court date extend you Temporary Restraining Order so you will be protected until the new hearing date.

Did You Know?

Medicaid does not provide medical assistance for all poor persons.
Even under the broadest provisions of the Federal statute (except for emergency services for certain persons), the Medicaid program does not provide health care services, even for very poor persons, unless they are in one of the designated eligibility groups. Low income is only one test for Medicaid eligibility; assets and resources are also tested against established thresholds.
